 Post subject: other vw based projects

Here is a choptop My dad,,son,,,and I are tinkering with. I'm gonna run it with a 1.8 Subaru carbed engine mated to a Vanagon automatic tranny.

Ah! I LOVE choptop bugs. They go from looking "cute" when they're stock, to looking rather mean when they're chopped. Looks great, you gonna widen the front beam? I love the chopped, lowered, widened look. :twisted:

Yea, JJ, thanks,,,

I was told that it is a 63 model. The decklid is from an Oval. I have an oval window clip that I may end up grafting into it. This was a project for later but my Dad couldn't wait so now we're halves on it. It will never get finished but that aint important . I just want it done enough to cruise. 8)

You'll have to take that to Bug N July over in Decatur just so you can watch the purists have a fit. Its good to see someone else make some progress on their project.
