 Post subject: king pin front end

is it hard to rebuild these front ends what all parts typically go bad in them mine is really loose wanting to know if its worth trying to fix or get another one or if any one has one for maybe 100 and under that is tight thx

I'm in the same boat as you are in, its probably your king pins and/or link pins. for the Link pin rebuild kit your looking at about 60 bucks and for the kingpin a little cheaper. And from what Ive heard, installing these is not and easy task, because you have to ream out the carriers and if you don't do it right, they will just loosen up after one ride. Ive asked around and the cheapest someone would do it for me was 100 bucks. If you can find one that's tight that would be the ticket, i haven't yet.

yeah, The front end mounts are different for a ball joint front end.

The mounts are not a big deal, the ball joint is the limiting factor there.
