Since swapping out the dual handle cutters for a single I wanted a pistol grip "style" handle but after pricing just a pistol grip shifter knob online I scratched that idea. Especially since it would come with a threaded end and I'd have to come up with a way to attach knob to my brake assembly. Came up with a few scrap pieces of aluminum here at work and a with a bridgeport mill & few ball end mills made a few different style handles. Of coarse they're not the quality or perfection of a pistol grip knob you'd buy off the shelf but I was pleased with the end results. First pic is of the first one I made and the one I've currently got on my cutter assembly, the 2nd pic is the one I made today and I like the feel of it a lot better. It's trial and error I guess and not costing me anything other than time. Haven't had a chance to polish either yet but oh well. Lot cheaper for me than buying a Hurst knob out of pocket. I'd love to see some pics of some handles any of yall have made to give me some ideas!
