Unfortunately, my trip to WindRock was an epic Fail.... Special thanks to Darrin for hanging with me and bringing a buggy full of supplies..

My jeep water pump went out right before I left, so I rented a pickup truck from Enterprise.

Loading the buggy, noticed my front tire had a big tear, stopped on the way and put a tube in the tire

Unloading buggy, the throttle cable linkage broke. Luck would have it, we found the nut and bolt.

Started heading down the trail and my limiter strap broke in half and pulled the axle out of the CV. Using a strap, we got the axle back in the CV and let the air out of shocks to keep axle in the CV.

Another few hundred yards and the rear caliper came off....WTF... A few zip ties and the caliper was re-attached. sort-of...

With the Axle falling out, the shocks empty and the caliper hanging on by Zip Ties, I decided to toss in the towel..

Even though things did not go well, It was still fun to see some friends and other buggies.

I feel for ya Dan.
I still had a great time even though I got separated from half the guys I was meeting. I still got to meet new people and see some cool buggies. We will try it again some other day. Oh by the way, if anybody finds a 3 rib reverse, it's mine. I lost it on trail #11....lol. Oh well.

Damn Dan that was rough. Good seeing you out there for a min. Me and brandon rode till bout 4am. I did pretty good bout breaking anything. Busted a cv but had another axel cv ready to go. 15 min later we were riding. I got separated and lost for about 2 hours. Besides that it was a blast. Darren I seen you out there nice buggy. I was the one with the flag hanging off the back.i think Im going to start looking into some front suspension and more seat cushion. It beat the hell out me out there.

Hate that I missed riding with you. It is some rough riding there. I would have stayed longer but I shattered my reverse gear. Maybe next time. Have a good one.
