Not sure on the Dyno but someone here probibly is. I believe your top end dyno #'s come from top gear or drive in auto at wide open throttle. Well based on that it would be way off on anything with gear reduction without something being changed to recalibrate for the reduction. Put a 4x4 truck on one in 4wheel low and I'll bet it drops like crazy.

Usually you pick up with an inductive lead though, otherwise they can be miles out.

I said if folks drove one they'd have one  Now like everything else you got the good with the bad. They are some that won't get out of there own way but for the most they are awesome. The thing that sold me was the durability

Well lookie what I found, a thread about "CHAINDRIVES"!

Hello gents, I reside just outside Louisville Ky, and believe it or not there is 3 CD's in my hood and 2 in a 50 mile radius, and I know of 1 more about 200mi from me. All but one, was copied from Bernard Burns original design, with his permission. They were all except 2 built right here near me. The other 2 was built by Burns Bros. before Dennis, Bernard's bro passed. They both belonged to me. I was the first to bring a CD to KY. I'm the only one to my knowledge that Mr. Burns gave the rights to copy his designs and improvements to these innovative offroad machines. We did not build to sell, we built to ride! This was the reason I got the rights! There have not been any built for a few years now, mainly due to cost. We use a local machine shop that has most of the parts & pcs programed in their CNC. That would include the full floater rear axle assembly, bearing housings, engine adapt., & many more parts. It would take a few weeks to get a quote together to build a chassis, but if there is some interest to build 2, I'll see what I can do. "There is no one in KY that knows more about the original design than me"!

I'm not sure I can post pic, but youtube kychaindrive to see some old vids.

I haven't been on this forum for a couple yrs, but I'll check back.

The first CD I finished in 1996-2007

Any one can build what they want... You just may need some inside intell to help out, i think if some one is giving the intell they are "giving permission."

You can attempt to build anything you want. I just happen to have the low down on the tried and trued design that the Burn's Bros spent many years improving upon.

Rockrocket correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure a fellow by the name of Terry, located in Ga, was the first to do a spin off of the Burns design, which looked similar to Rockrockets.

Actually mine was built befor Terry built his. Mine was the oldest non Burns buggy built.A lot of people have asked me to build them one but Mr burns and Curt are two folks I have nothing but the up most respect for so I never built one for sale to the public.I'll do nothing to get in the pocket of mr burns he is a close friend! But I don't know if mr Burns is gonna build anymore.
