i have a lot of wheel hopping when climbing. the rear end of my rail is realy realy soft. i was wondering if i should run some coil overs and a gas shock or if u guys got any ideas thanks for any info

What are you running now? You might start by making sure everything is in proper working order. Take the shocks off, make sure they arn't wiped out.

As above, check the shocks are in good condition first, it's usually a case of not enough low/mid rebound damping - worn seals, thinned oil or tired shim stacks are the usual suspects.

i pulled them off this morning they were pretty beat so i put a new set and a new set of coil overs on it to and its still hooping like hell and i walked up and down the hill looking for big rocks or stumps didnt find nothing but dirt and some small rocks would tire preasure make a diffrence

We need a little more info to try to help you out.

What rear suspension? IRS, Swing, Bus?
What shocks were you running?
What size torsion bars?
What size trailing arms?
Are you running torsion bars with coilovers now?

Does it have gear reduction box out near the tire. I heard they wheel hop bad...

its an irs with sway aways
i run a coil over and a rancho truck shock
i do believe that they are 32 mm i might be wrong

Is that on a conventional set up buggy? If so, that combo should be really really stiff. Like bone jarring stiff, unless you run a rear mounted V8 and/or really long arms .

i bought the buggy off sum1 else so i may be wrong on sway aways but thats wat i was told and its not stiff at all its soft like rides like a caddy soft

It sounds like the torsion bars are causing the wheel hop. The bars are probably preloaded very little if at all and the coil-overs are doing most of the work until you get on it, then the bars are kicking in causing the wheel hop. Are the coil overs the cheap $40 ones? Or are they high quality ones like fox or king?

they are fox and have the red springs and i do belive that they are 60 pound springs
