im starting on ss.Im 210 lbs . im putting race trim seat in it. how far do i need to put back of seat from tortion? Its a bee line frame, but i cut windshield post off and tubes over your head so i can raise it couple of inches. ill get pics soon. Ive got some more ? later. just asking some input from people that will help me later. thanks dirtdobber

I'd start at 18" and adjust as needed after you've climbed a few.

Mine is about 18 inches and works great. i weigh 230.

thanks guys, Im cutting the factory horns off torsion today.Do i find the right angle to weld my torsion to my frame by, the angle of my spring plate? Also im going to flush bottom of torsion with bottom part of tube on frame so there will be less drag.

All that beer must add inches without adding weight...

I got horns cut off today.Im ready to weld to frame, just wondering how to weld it in at the right angle?Do i need to level bottom of frame then, level the flat spots on the top of the sping plate cover ?? Trying to post pics tonight, but no luck yet.Thanks

yes. level the bottom of the frame and then level the torsion by the flats on the shock mounts. there are those who turn the torsion to get more ground clearance, but then you start changing the geometry of the suspension. nothing is free.

I got my torsion welded in. Thanks for info.im working this weekend , starting on seat position next. I couldn't figure tinypics.com out . Not to swift on computers. I'll get my wife talked in to help post pics on buggy builds next week. I'll try photobucket.

What angle is good on windshield post and frame?

I dont think there is any good angle. I built the cab area of minr after i got the seat mounted to the floor so I could make sure I could see good and head clearance.

That is what i was going to do.Your right though better make sure i can see good out of it to. Working on it some this weekend . Ill try and get picks soon.
