In the middle of a 3x3/bus trans upgrade. Got 930 cv's and have plenty of more room for travel before i reach my cv's limit. Instead of notching the springplates thinking of trimming off the bumpstops. Any adverse effects I should be aware of? I mean besides needing limit straps.

Yep, theres a very big concern when doing this modification........

Dont do it. Mine wrre cut down. The spring plates beat the lip open and a few c.v.s later I figueed out what was foin on. Have to use limit sraps now. Not even enough good metal to weld on spring plate tab kit. Bottom is opened all the way up. Few good jumps and bam.

Wrong way, let me make sure I understand what you're describing. You cut off the spring plate bump stops, you did not use limit straps, and the spring plates slammed into the torsion bar cover plate and eventually destroyed it and part of the torsion housing? You also broke some cv's. Then later you installed limit straps and stopped breaking cv's. But now the housing or spring plate cover can't be fixed?

If you have 930's and straps your good to cut them off. I believe the stock torsion stops limit you to about 15degrees. Mind you , you do not have to cut all of the stop off. if you look at where the spring plate is touching now, you can probably take off just a section and still get the heighth/ angles you want. and still have some stop left to catch things if your strap were to ever break.
