is it just that old bolt that goes thru there? i cant get the damn thang out

yea its just the big bolt if its loose but still ont slide out i have had them stuck in the bushings from just being in so long

Yea, either take the spring plate all the way off, ( if you plan on re-setting the torsion) or take all the bolts out of the spring plate that go through the arm. Slide the arm out of the spring plate, take the pivot bolt out, (that big allen head bolt) And you'll have to do quite a bit of wigglin' to get 'er off.

There is nothing fun about removing frozen Pivot Bolt... Make sure you follow KoKo's advice and remove as much tension as possible. I would also spray the crap out of the bolt with liquid wrench or something else. If you strip the torsion housing, it is a pain and the butt to fix.

I had a pivot bolt froze up in the bushing and could not get it out so i sprayed it with some PB blaster and then had to take a air hammer with a punch in it and hammer on the center of the hex head to brake the rust loose .

Most important. Put something under the vehicle (old wheels etc, other than a jack stand) before you heav on it and pull it over on to you.

yeah, ive got my old tires and rims under it i got one of my arms out but the other one is being a pain in the ass im still workin on that side

Keep tryin, they can be a bit%h. I've had 'em stuck so bad I had to cut open a window on inside of it and air hammer the bolt out.

alright on the one that i was talkin about that was bein a pain in the ass i got it un-done and its not threaded its like its just settin there ive tryed beatin it out what should i do?

ive heated it put vise grips on it and tryed to yank it out put vise grips on it and try to beat it out i aint gettin nowhere

i ended up cuttin the bolt out with my welder so now i need that big allen head bolt does anyone know where i can get one?

I've got new ones that have a hex head on them that take a regular wrench.
I've got used ones that take the allen wrench.
