Ok I went with heim ends on my tie rods but I have 2 questions!!!
The heims I got did not have jam nuts on them. Are these just regular nuts that I can get at a hardware store?
What do I do were it ties to arm at the spindle do I drill the taper out to 5/8 and use a 5/8 bolt or is there ther a tapered specal bolt?
Thanks
MoblMec

You cannot get the jam nuts at the hardware store, you will need to get them from wherever you got the joints at and I drilled mine out all the way with 5/8" drill bit and use grade 8 bolt with nylocks.

^^As above, we drilled our spindles out to 18mm though as we're using 18mm with top hats inserted to get enough travel.

I used to have regular nuts with lock washers at the time and now uses nylocks, that part sucks when the arm fell off the spindle

I used to nylock + locktite everything when we had the old veedub in, that thing used to shake bolts loose just from the engine vibes

I oughta have bought shares in locktite the amount of times this car's been apart....
