Post subject:  What Goodyear front tire r alot of u running?
I was wondering what tire alot of guys are running on the front. I think dvs1 buggy has them on it in the picture at the top of the website. I think it's a Goodyear implement tire, just can seem to find them on the web. Where can I get them and what is the size? Thanks for any help.

5.90/15 goodyear implement traction tire usaully a hay rake tire

Thanks, I found a shop in town who has them in stock for 92.00 a piece. One more question, they said it suppose to go on a 4" rim, has anyone mounted them on a 6" wheel? I'm looking at some new wheels but they the only come in a 15x6.

6.70 X 15 Is a much better selection. The taller tire keeps the rim out of the rocks and junk. Has a taller ride height. Costs about the same money. And I don't know about a 6" wide wheel. I know the 5.00 X 15 won't fit so well.

Nope, 6.70-15SL Goodyear # 4TG267 28.8" dia 23 lb ea. Rim width 4.5" 4 ply I paid $130 each

Went down to the local tire shop today and they had the 6.70-15sl in stock. They were 98.00 each. Here is a picture of the tire.

They also make this tire in a 7.60-15 that will work with a 6" rim. I think i'm going to order them and see how they work.

got a question about these tire myself.they look wicked on a buggy,but do they not throw a whole lot more crap at you?and with the tire you showed in the picture (not the hay rake tire) do they scoot sideways with you very bad in the mud when turning.wondering cause most vtreads tend to give up a little bit sideways bite.just curious i'd like to try them.chad :mrgreen:

I need Mike to chime in here. According to him that part number is for the chevron style tires. V treads up front will slide in muddy terrain which is as bad as 3 ribs. I was going to use ATV tires but if I can get the ones Mike referenced Id like to try em.

This tire in the picture is the goodyear 4TG267, if you look close at the tag on the tire you can see the part number.

The guy at the tire shop said they only made the chevron style in a 5.00-15 and a 5.90-15. I hope mike checks in and lets us know which one he is using.

That is indeed the tire I'm refering to. I have no control issues with them in the slimey stuff, besides that's what cutting brakes are for. As far as throwing stuff at you, well lets face it, no one stays dry and clean for long anyway. I like them WAY better than the 5.00 X 15, hands down. I use to bend a wheel bead some every ride with the 5.00's. Since I went to the 6.70's I dont think I scratched them. When I wear this set out I will get another.
