will post pics soon!!! starting a new build guys.. i rolled the red buggy at rush in oct next time ill leave the yager at home  so i went out and bought a beeline explore frame... going to a kingpin front end 6 over 1 x 4 front arms with combo spindals.. im adding a turbo from outfront motorsports say 450hp at the crank on 20psi.. its a pretty cool setup we will see what it puts down at the wheel in a couple months.. i got aftermarket ecu stinger and a prog boost contorl so i can adjust the psi on the fly from my seat 7psi to 20psi plan on keeping it around 12. running it on e85.. new fuel rails with 83 pound injecters.. top mount intercooler with scoop. i rebuilt the motor last yr 2.5 subaru with h beam scat rods and cp piston, arp bolts. i know i missing somethings.. i think it should be pretty wild and cant wait to get it out. im shooting for may but we will see..

What compression pistons did you put back in the engine? Stock is 10.5 to 1 and will not handle any more than 8-10 PSI of boost and that's with a perfect tune.

if it had a turbo in stock form, it is likely 8.5:1. if it was N/A, then 10.5:1.

And a lot of guys with 9.1 and 10.1 pushing over 20 psi depends on tune and has to be race gas or e 85 from what I've seen seen some guys up around 27 these are guys on the street which I think at 12 will be plenty on the dirt

And what transmission are you going to blow up I mean run with that boost? More power to ya if you get it to work but I'm thinking too much is too much.
I have an all Aluminum small block Chevy, you name it, it has it. Cloyes, Jessel, Aries, Hillborn, Vertex, Cower, 800HP worth. The only thing stopping me from building a buggy around this motor is, the $25,000 transmission it would take to hold up to that much HP.

And that quote sums up the reason I never built a buggy that topped 150 HP

Hey if you need some extra room around the shop I'm sure I could store that for you under the hood of something I got laying around ;)

So far you've committed two fatal mistakes, first you tried to relate to what "they do on the street" and then you tried to compare what "they do in the sand". Sorry champ, don't work like that.
On the street it's all wheel dive and they never leave the ground. In the sand, hell, try to find a more compliant, user friendly terrain to ride around on besides the local country club.

if your not dumpin the clutch at 9000 or landing under throttle it will be fine...if you don't like it, give it to me. ill drive the wheels off that sum bitch!

I ain't riding in that thang. I seen what you done to the last one! Just remember one thing; you can have all the power you want, but if you can't get it to the ground then what's the point? Not trying to knock it because I'm all up for someone trying something different, I just know you'll have to invest more than 5G's into a transmission that CAN put it to the ground. More power, more problems.

For one madmike I was talking about motor setup on the street said nothing about dirt... For two sand is hard on trans constant high rev and pressure of the sand is rough on things... Run your ass across the beach then run your ass across dirt I bet your faster across dirt and will be less winded... Bige70chevy seen my ride last yr and i can ride... Not like we coming off a jump and I'm going to have it to the floor when i land and this is not a 800hp alum block motor rock bouncer buggy... We do a lot of trail riding with are rigs.. Champ

And it just like drag racing booboo you can have a 1000 HP motor but you have to build everything around it to handle... The trans is my weak point right now but next yr it will be upgraded...
