 Post subject: jetting 48 webbers

I have a 2332 vw all new with twin webber 48,s,what jetting should be carbs, also spark plugs and gap.Have to change plug,s after each ride any ideas on jetting and plug,s long threads, it run,s fine all day next time cranked plug won,t get header hot,different cyl. each time..060 air jet,s 145 main,s will do a clean cut test,any one got any thought,s on jetting and number of plug,s I should run? THANKS

Im not an engine guru but that seems like small jets... i run a healthy 2275 with dual 40 dellorto's and run 180 mains and could probably go a little bigger. Far as plugs, they are ngk xx8xx.. it may be br8es but dont qoute me on it. Either way, take what you got and they can cross it to an ngk. Hope this helps 8)
