I've had a lot of fun tuning the fuel injection system although it would be easier if I had access to a chassis dyno. Right now I'm at 10lbs of boost and when the boost gauge jumps up it feels like I've been hit in the ass. The engine runs 12 lbs of boost right from the factory pushing 174hp and around 200ft lbs of torque. The power is just awsome. I can't get past 10lbs (busted a cv joint) until I upgrade the transmission and cv joints. I also need to work on the suspension to get some more ride height.

I Like the intercooler pipes. I bet she runs hard! Whats the black box?

The black box is where the megasquirt fuel injection system is along with the relays for the fan, fuel pump, and fast idle. The box is water tight and the connector on the end of the box is where my PC plugs in for tuning.

No bumper I just run it like you see it. Steve, you can make one pretty easy. Just buy an old frame with a bus transmission, go to pull-a-part and get the engine, buy an intercooler and the megasquirt system and your in.
Oh, don't forget to add lots of labor :) .

What about this http://www.rittal.com/products/ArtikelDatenblatt.asp?ArtNr=1547500&lang=GB Its what we use at work for electrical enclosures. The box you see in the picture was a old crane electrical box from work that was replaced. I just salvaged it.

Steve I have connections on getting hoffman enclosures. Let me know what size you need and if you want it with grey paint or stainless. I will see if I can get it and hook you up CHEAP. I might be able to get the wire seals for it also.

Guys-I have a couple of Stainless Steel IP65 rated enclosures. They were used in a wet/wash-down environment for psu's. What size are you looking for and I will measure.

Look here and tell me what size you want and I will let you know. These are stainless weather proof industrial enclosures. I had a pallet full of all different sizes 9 months ago. I paid $400 for the pallet full and some of them sold for $250 each. I think we made 5k off that pallet. Selling this type of stuff paid my bills for almost 2 years of being laid off.

The list price on that size is $773.30 each :eek: . I will see what I can do. If I can get it wont be half that price. Do you want a sub panel for it also?

Wow, I had no idea. Sorry dude, I don't think there's any way you'll be able to get it down to the range where I'd be interested (30-$40). Thanks a lot for checkin it out for me though.

Oh, and maybe start a new thread, because we're kinda hijackin Huey's thread. 8)

Ammo cans work good. I made a beetle cv boot work as a loom boot. Lined it with foam rubber cut from a couch cushion. Dang I'm cheap. :oops:
