I am upgrading my rear brakes and have seen some rotors cross drilled,,Who has done this? How did you get the pattern,,,what size holes? Are they braking better,,or are they cracking? |

I did mine years ago, just used a magic marker to lay out the lines in a swirl pattern for 3 rows of holes. It helped some, but what really helped was mounting calipers off a 87 suby front that had emergency brakes, and pads 4" long. I like having my emergency brake, makes me worry less. |

Just a thought, would the holes in the disks capture and hold mud.. Causing more wear on the pads.. |

You want directional slots. Holes just cut wieght and look cool. |

Holes do indeed just trap mud, you want these: We've used 'em over here for years, scrapes all the mud and water off the pads + discs without the risc of cracking under heavy braking. |
