| Post subject: | what master cylinder should i use? |
i have power bled them, new brakes, different cutters. and still no pressure. so its master cylinder time. so what is the most cost effective way to go. i have the dual set, one for the clutch and on for brake. i am going to leave the clutch alone and just get a brake one. so VW if so what year or is there something else you all use that works better. it now has sentra calipers on it, any help is greatly appreciated! |

I have a used 3/4" Jamar I will let go for 40 bucks shipped. I went to a 7/8" bore |

Are you brakes not working? when i bought this buggy back before the first of the year, it just didn't seem to have the stopping power. after my first ride, i know it didn't have the stopping power. the brakes that are on it i think are those brakes that you buy in a kit that comes with the rotor and every thing. so after seeing how a buddy of mine that is using Sentra Brakes stop on a dime. i went with those. after getting them installed , they still wouldn't pump up even after power bleeding them. had a single handle cutting brake on it, change it to a duals that had rebuilt, only time when i could get the brakes to stop was when the peddle was fully compressed and i would hit the cutter brakes then it would stop. only thing left is the master cylinder. so a wild wood i bought , i will see Monday night if this fixed my issue!! ( I Hope because i don't know what else to do!! ) because from what i have read and people has told me if you can see black in the fluid when you let out on the brake its a good chance that the master cylinder is bad. ( meaning , buy a new one or rebuild it) so i bought a new on and if this fixes it i will rebuild the old one and have as a spare. |

First of all will this mc bolt up to a set of Cnc pedals. And second When bleeding after pedal go down pull cut brake hold light pressure on handle and pump pedal until it pulls handle back down and repeat Hope this helps. Brakes are a pain in the ass to get working right Good luck |

Brakes are a pain in the ass to get working right Good luck basically that is what i did, to get them working and then went out to Rush, and for some reason busted the passenger side caliper, don't know what caused it yet. but its trashed. so back to the drawing board and to the supply house.
