I need to change the rear drums to discs, I have various calipers and the fab skills to make the brackets, the question is which discs? I have the option of Empi 1 piece discs/hubs or Porsche 914 discs and seperate type 3 hubs, the price is approx the same, whats the better option?

914 without a doubt. I have heard and seen too many Empi (junk) rotors stripping out the splines. You will have a tough time hurting the type 3 drive hub. I had this same set up in my first car, had no problems. This is the same set up I have planned on my Funco single seater. Some machine work is necessary to fit them together, the outside diameter of the drive dub needs reduced some to fit inside the 914 rotor hat.

I looked through my box of calipers and I have a set of the mk4 Golf rear calipers, just wonder if they're powerful enough for use on a woodsbuggy....
