which are best or are they all about the same except the price because of brand name, such as econo, forged, billet, steel, etc... ?

also are any louder or quieter than the other ?

Go for he Bugpack or the CB Performance ones, all straight-cut gears are the same sound wise, don't buy the JUNK ones, buy the good ones like the ones I listed above, I feel that the Bugpack ones are the best ones you can buy today.

CB or Bugpack.

As mentioned do not buy the cast version.
I bought 5 sets of those made by DynaGear several years ago.
A reputable company or so I thought.
Two of the 5 sets broke.
Trashed valves, pistons and heads on both engines.
I'll dig up a picture and post later.

i'm pretty sure i put CB straight cuts in my motor. i can't even hear the noise difference, people that complain about it must be retarded because they aren't even loud.

Not retarded.

Not all SCGs are as quiet as CB's.
Magnums/Bugpacks are usually loud, almost like the whine of a supercharger.
