I have Superflows. The pro is the intake runner is bigger which in turn flows better at high rpm's especially if they're ported and polished. And the only con I can think of is that the valve cover is squared off so you can not use any vw style valve cover. These are only my opinions I'm sure there are many more pro's and con's that I can't remember and other opinions too.

You also have to run their intakes because of the "three bolt" bolt pattern.
Like DVS1 said, they are killer on top end, but they dont have the bottom end grunt like a smaller runner head would have, especially if you run big valves (44mm intake or bigger). At least they didn't on my my motor. I switched to Street Eliminators and gained gobs of bottom end. The motor would "light up " quicker too. (Go from lugging to wide open). Didnt really notice a big loss on the top end, either.
You have to consider the whole package. I run a bottom end cam, Engle 110 w/ 1.4 rockers. If I had a big, nasty cam, I may have noticed a loss at top end w/ the S/E's because the superflows would make better use of the increased lift and duration at higher rpms.

I run SF heads as well on my 2276. With a 3 or 5 rib they work great on bottom end. When I changed to a 6 rib my motor had nothing on low end.....All in the gearing. They have always been excellent on top end.

I just built a 2387 for a freind and he is running super flows with stage 2 porting. The motor runs really good but will not crawl around. He is running a stock 6 rib. Im running a 2185 with with 044 ultra mag heads and I can crawl around pretty good. Me personally the SF is more intended for drag racing but with the right gearing would be great in the woods.

For more bottom end you cant go wrong with ultra mags or street eliminators

I have rode with several people that run them and they all say no bottom end. Most whished they had bought the S/E. I put the new S/E 2 on my new buggy and they are great. I have great bottom end and top end!

I run the cb comp eliminators 46x38 valves 298 duration 575 lift setup at 14-1 on a 2332 with a 3 rib and I can go as slow as everybody else.If you use this style head use a big cam and lots of compression along with a 3 rib for crawling or a 5 rib for long hills. It all depends on the riding style you like.
