so are you just looking for a used a used set of 94's.if you have a good bottom end then thats all you would need and put new rod bearings in it and new mains since you got it down to have cut.probly one of our sponsors would have a good used set or wait til the swap meet at drews if you dont find a set before then.chad

It will run with the cam thats in it, but a cam change can make a huge difference in power.

You will need to cut the block for 94's & Ive never seen a stock case that didnt need line bored. Your heads will need cut too & you may as well raise the compression a bit. Its free HP. Put a windage tray in it if you arent going dry sump. Id put a 110 cam in it & you can put 1.25 rockers on it to gain HP. You can get a solid bottom end together for about 750 bucks using new P&C's. It will probably pump out about 75 HP with the right stuff in it.

My slant on used parts, are that they're from (preferably)1970's engines. Used and abused. I know that VW (Mexican beetle) only quit building? What 6 -8 years ago? But what was commonly imported due to emision control, is pretty old. So used parts, especially if they are from different engines, (with varying amounts of wear) would have to be a very causious build. Blue print all the components and ballance them.
