A friend of mine has a 6 rib side shift he wants to use. I have seen before a shift linkage kit before but don't remember where I had seen it. Does anyone know one can be purchased or has any pics of home made adapters?
Thanks, Dave

hello This Jim from dunebuggysrus. We are in the proccess in building our own web site just for woods buggy transaxle sales , repairs, and tech tips. The side shift trany you are talking about can be converted over to a straight shift by just changing a few components including the nose cone and it will work fine. As long as it is the air cooled one.

hope all goes well

Jim

Air cooled version can be converted but not the water cooled.
Totally different transmission.
Both came in Vanagons.
