Me and tony get along great,Hell where from the same little one red light town. it's hard not to get along with one person when there's only ten people in the whole town. I'm just saying there's not enough buggies for that class...

Unfortunately Willie it has been proven time and time again that you can't please everyone so theres no use in trying. They have all done a great job and hopefully more will be like me and enter even though I know I don't have a chance in h*ll of winning I enjoy trying and supporting the hobby.    If I was going to be there no doubt I would win the class for the slowest time.  So, everyone just keep up the good work and don't mind all the cry babies.  I just love these little emotion guys. 8) 8)

Willie and Wes, y'all hit the nail on the head!!
I'm in the same boat with you , Wes. I could give a damn whether I win or even run, as long as every body has a blast and it helps to further our sport. The money would be cool to have, but no matter who wins its most likely gettin spent back into our sport. The time that the organizers have poured in to these events so the REST of us could have fun makes anyone who bitches about ANY of it an asshole.

Classes could be cool if we figure out a fair way to do it. There are SO many variables in woodsbuggies, its nearly impossible to do it and be fair to EVERYONE. Until then, just be glad we are able to get together at all.

We all know REAL hillclimbin aint all about speed anyways. Speed is just a way to make it a contest. I'd say "The last man standing" way that the AL boys just did is more like hillclimbing, less like uphill drag racing. Take Charlie for an example. Charlie doesnt win these events, but has more experience hillclimbing than any of the others in these contests. He is a "finesse" climber. He actually CLIMBS stuff, not just floor it and steer! He taught most of the winners how to drive a friggin buggy !!
(Dont tell Ol' Rubberlips I was braggin on him, though   )

i didnt want to start any thing BUT!.........i dont think a chain drive should run seperet from are buggys all buggys should run eqal on a fair cors.now we just need find a way of doing that.and the way its being done now is fine for me and if it wasnt i wouldnt complan or bash the event i would just not enter wilborn may not bee the best place to ride but the pepole from al.are fun and welcoming and wilborn has done as much to help promot ARE sport as woods buggy has.and all parks need to make a profet with out it thay can not grow.and are sport will not grow! we live in the land of the free...........that dose not mean that the land is free!

Boy did I open a can of worms or what! I just think if the so called "BIG BAD ASS CHAINDRIVE" had it's ass handed to it on a KY. platter. WHY CHANGE! By the way GREAT JOB GIZMO. PS I here Mt. Busby calling!!!!

I was told they are doing this also to try and keep the Ky buggys from comming. So it would give others a chance to win. I do not know but it might just back fire on them. 8)

Before any one thinks I was bitching I was just trying to get people ready for their hill climb. Just ask Tony (wildthing) (pinto) I talked to him on the phone the same day I posted that. I do think there needs to be different classes, but do not limit a buggy because it has a CD or a V6 or a V8. I do not care to run against any buggy out there. (on my type of hill). But if I do not like the hill then I will not run, and I will not grip, instead I would build a buggy to run on the hills they are having. I think they all are doing a great job on these.

I am very excited about the fact that we are starting to have organized hillclimbs. Our hobby is actually becoming a sport! We need to thank guys like Sharpshooter, Darrell and Tony for planning these events. We also need to allow them to make some mistakes. Don't throw it all away because you are not happy with the way this event is being run. Maybe the next one will be much differant. People will let us know if they liked the show or not.
Vote with your feet. If you don't like it go somewhere else. Maybe it will be differant next time.
Dean

Here is some food for thought,I have talked to several people about breaking down the classes, heres what has been suggested

Pro /open class-this would be a class for the serious hill climber, a run what you brung and and hope you brought enough. This class would pay the most money

Amature two seater- this class would be limited to 2 seater buggys only, that may not be set up with big motors and built trannys,or just someone that isnt at the same level as the pro class

Amature one seater- this would be limited to single seater buggys only, like the 2 seater class this would be for people that may not have the set up or skill to run the pro class

These two classes would pay back good money as well just not as much as the pro/open class, these classes would allow anyone to enter without having to to build a special buggy just to compete, but offers a class for the serious competitor that wants the strong competition, and the oppurtunity to compete with people of there own skill level. Please give any suggestions so we can work to get this class thing figured out without leaving certain buggys out.We need to keep this sport alive I think we are on the verge of getting some outside sponsor money to fund these events if we keep it going, and strive to keep everybody involved

I have a 4 seater and dont have a problem running with the 2 seaters, theres not that many 4 seaters that have been entering the events,so I would say put them with the 2 seaters.I really wouldnt want to break the classes down more than 3 for now,but as this sport grows and more money comes available we may have to have more classes

That's what I was trying to say. There is not enough buggies for the way there gonna break down the classes. So your only gonna have one class. Now maybe next year or later this year there might be enough for that kind of break down.
