Maybe he will start driving like his daddy. I think his step mom Theresa was holding him back for some reason. There is no love lost between them.

I hate to say this, but are those Toyotas running actual Toyota engines???? Or are they running something else? I think they are running Chevy engines with valve covers saying "Toyota" I saw how they ran this past weekend on the Bud shootout, it seems like Tony Stewart is still driving a Chevy-powered car though. I dunno I may be wrong, I just hate to see an Import vehicle run in an American-tradition race, it all started out with Chevy, Ford and Dodge, and let's keep it that way. Leave the imports to the Japs-racing tradition in Japan.

What did they do???? Dyno'ed thier cars before each run???? I thought they are supposed to keep it secret from other competitors, if I was Joe Gibbs, I would not brag about this. Then everybody would want to run Toyota engines in their cars and now that is not what I want to see happening, if it

true true. dunno they just said that tony's car was putting out 30 more rwhp on the CHASSIS dyno not just the engine dyno. so it could be other factors as well like trans, rear end, etc.. less resistance is more power heh.

Unfortunately every push rod based over head valve V8 is based on an Oldsmobile engine introduced in the late 40's. I wish I could say it was a Ford engineer but it apparently wasn't. With that being said every car in NASCAR is running an Oldsmobile style engine. Each manufacturers engineers come up with there own "model" of over head valve, push rod, carburated engine. Toyota engines are just like Ford, Dodge and Chevrolet in that they meet the guidlines set by NASCAR. I still hate everything on the track that isn't blue oval but I don't think you can say a Toyota engine is a Chevy any more than you can say a Dodge or Ford is a Chevy.

That could be correct, NASCAR has a lot of tiny things they can do to their cars that will make them handle faster, go faster than others. By the way, the dyno I meant to be is a chassis dyno where they strapped their cars on a dyno and let

Thats cool glad you guys won. Just seemed odd to me because of the rain work on the track and then finishing it on Monday. Seemed unfair to the drivers that were caught up in the wreck because of the track leaking water in turns 3 and 4. Maybe I don't know the rules about it.

I hated to see Jr. and the others get crashed. But life is not fair. Not in NASCAR or anything. Sometimes stuff goes wrong. The only time I really saw a fair sport was when my boy was little and some weany decided that we shouldn't keep score of baseball games so noones feelings got hurt. Those were just silly games.

The announcers talked about how they asked the drivers at the driver's meeting if they should delay the race or run it and they all said run it. Then once they get involved in a wreck the tone changed and everyone blamed it on the weepers in turns 3 and 4, and said they should never race in these conditions! Can't please them all I guess.

Guess thats why the Yota trucks sound like Chevy's or close to it. There is one here that has an exhaust system on it and sounds great.

the new tundras are a 5.7 litre, which would be the same as a SBC chevy in litres... but so is the new hemis so it could mean nothing.
