Back when I built my buggy, I bought an adapter from Hecker Machine. Now I need to replace the motor and would like to go a size or two up without buying a new adapter, but I don't remember which motors are an option. The motor I am replacing is a 1989 2.8L GM V6. I'm thinking that pretty much any of the 3.1's and the 3.4's will be good choices. However, I do remember being questioned as to if it was internally or externally balanced. Seems that Hecker Machine doesn't answer phones or email anymore.

Any ideas?

Thanks In Advance.
