044 mags will be an awesome set of heads for that size engine, you can get them at CB Performance, Street Eliminator are killer heads, but it depends on the $$$ you want to spend.

...gotta follow jesse and say 5 rib..3 rib would be fine but with a fresh 1915 i think a 5.38 is a lil slow and would leave you looking for more

I have to agree with RaceBugg.

You can't beat a set of CB Perf. 044 heads for the money. Great bang for the buck and they hold up well. I would buy a set in a second. They are a great product.

As far as the trans. question, a 3 rib is fine for general use with a small, low hoesepower engine but it will leave you wanting more speed, especially with 31" tires. Try it. See what you think. My experience says that a 5 rib is the best choice for that engine size. You are starting to get into some good power numbers with the 1.9L.

It all depends on the tire size. That directly affects the gearing.

empis are fine . Going to duel carbs you need to clean the fuel tank even if it is new take the top off the carbs and set the float at 11mm for off road and run good air cleaner . You need to put K-N oil on empi air cleaners and greess on top & bottom of air cleaner. Look for crackes by the spark plug on 041 . They run good on small eng. The 044 wrork good and you can get them with dual spring & 42mm valves . If you build a bigger eng. down the road . Call some of the sponsors like Drews for info on heads cams

side shifts are great and can find them for around 400 or so or even less from someone that dosent know what they got and someone on here makes a sift linkage i think but the 483 gearing is perfect range for most motors and hey are strong
