i have a MSD probillet distributer. and the problem im having is moisture under the cap, its making everything rusty inside. what i was wandering is if anybody else is having this problem. i think all the moisture is coming through that little vent cap on the distibuter cap. what i was thinking about doing is pulling that litle vent cap off and putting a plastic barb fitting in the hole. and putting a hose on it. what do you guys think? why would they put a vent cap on there anyways

thanks, Dave

I have the same problem and kept it lubed up with Kroil or WD-40, the problem went away when I started using teflon spray you use for tents in the camping section at any stores. You can clean them up pretty easy by using penetrating oil and just make sure everything is working well including the springs then use the teflon spray on the outside when it comes together, you will need the vent from what I hear and do not know the reasons why.

You could run a hose up to your air filter to draw the moisture out. You can't block the vent completely or vapors from crankcase pressure will build up in the distributor cap and exploode the cap when a spark lights em off.(ask me how I know)
