I got my truck I have been wanting for a long time. I wish it was 4x4 but thats not in the budget currently. Its a 2000 F250 with the 7.3L Powerstroke. I FREAKING LOVE IT. It has some dents and dings but it is very clean otherwise. Doesn't leak a drop. I have done some things to it, first the best thing was remove the bench seat and install some XLT seats with the center console, picked them up for 60.00 at the scrap yard. I have a S&B Filter system, Diablo sport predator tuner, full a-pillar guages EGT, Boost, Trans, and straight pipe. Thats about all I am doing, it pulls like nothing is even there, and I just got 533 miles on a 27 gallon tank, about 20mpg woohoo. Diesel here is cheaper than gas now again, diesel 1.95, gas 1.99.

TRAITOR!
Dont blame the truck, Willie. You could tear up a steel ball with a feather!

Just wait until that Garage Man's Companion gets a little age on it. You'll run as fast as you can to find you another Powerstroke. Maybe even a Dodge Billygoat!

Besides, a diesel should sound like a diesel, not a sewing machine like those Durajunk's.

These Ford can outpull anything on the roads today. I can pull 14,000 lbs on mine and it does'nt miss a beat and still gets 14 MPG not bad at all and all I did to mine is added an exhaust system, intake system, slightly larger turbo, and an Edge chip. It is a 2003 6.0L with a 6-speed tranny and 3.73 gears and loves it! I could not ask for more it is all there no matter what it is.

Them 6.0s do ok just keep a extra set of injectors in the tool box with lots of tools. I almost forgot be a good ideal to keep a set of head gaskets and a sky hook to pull the cab off. A must with any power adders.

travis, you better be at wellsville memorial day so we can talk about how great cummins are! hahahahha. my buddies 05 6.0 is in PA at Liberator getting 4000$ worth of shit done. head Gaskets, arp studs, egr delete, p/s pump, and some other dumb shit, they are piles, this is like 32423432 time it has blown up. 7.3's are more reliable, but take a lot more to make them run with a dodge or chevy....

for the dmax's and powerstokes to keep up

It has already been done, I blew the gaskets at 55,000 miles guess what....I had new heads, gaskets, and head studs all done by a ford dealership and it cost me nothing but a $100 deductible  I never had any problems with the injectors yet and it now has 89,000 miles on the truck and everytime I fill it up, I put in a quart of power service/transmission fluid mix into the tank and it still runs like it does the day I bought it at 11,000 miles. I can pull my box trailer loaded down to around 12,000 pounds and it pulls it like it is nothing
