To tow my buggy out to the desert away from the concrete jungle, I have a smog legal V8 custom Astrovan.

A lowered `86 Cargo van shaved bald like a stripper.... Shaved door handles, lower body line, gas filler door, new-style front and rear ends, welded rear doors, Cadillac taillights, gullwing sliding door.
