I got this car about 3 years ago. This one is a 1963. I have had several baja's over the years but none of them were ever street legal. I have plans to build this sometime over the next few years. I would like to put a cage in it from front to back. I already have the tubing for that. I plan to convert the rear to IRS and install 2x3 trailing arms. The front will remain link pin of course. I will install longer arms and stronger spindles up front. I will install a 5 rib transaxle (i have several of them) with a 6 rib diff section. Nothing fancy but a good all around street and trail rig.

No progress as of yet. Still sleeping under the tarp. Gathering parts together. In the process of adding on to my garage for more room.

That's the nice thing about Carolina and Virginia vehicles. They usually don't have much rust. Especially compared to what you guys face in your area.
Body is great considering the year. Every bolt came right out, even the ones that hold the body to the chassis!

If the beam is in good shape it was well worth $150 for the thing

I am planning a move in the near future so I will be selling my Baja if any of you might be interested. It needs everything but it is pretty solid for it's age.

200 bucks and it's yours.

I do not have a title, just a bill of sale.
