The tires are 33" which isn't that much difference than stock 32" tires. It does add up I am sure. I looked online and found some 20' enclosed trailers and a few V nose trailers too. Just have to wait and see what the money situation turns out to be in the near future.

Roy I had guessed it would drop to around 12mpg, I hope it doesn't drop into the single digits but will have to live with it, IF I go this route.

It would not be too bad to change out the R&P gears in the differentals, you can probably have them changed to lower gears for around $800 for both sets yourself, if not about $1200 to have a 4x4 shop to install them.

I had thought about changing them out but was told that it should be done by a mechanic that has the right tools and dial indicators. I looked but have forgotten how much the R&P sets were. would like to have a 4.10 or similar gearing.

Switching to some 3.73 gears would put you back to the stock setting you started with before you went to the larger tires.

I agree with you, it is very important to check your backlash by using a dial indicator and by having the proper tools to do the job.

If you change them to 4.10 gears with 33's on them it will more likely raise your ratio just a little, but still will have lower gears than 3.55 ratio to begin with. I use to have a 2000 Chevy Silveraldo 1500 Z71, it came special ordered with 4.10 gears, and I put a lift and 35" tires on it, and it still pulls pretty good, I probably p

Here is a picture of my truck with the new tires on it. They are Nitto Mud Grapplers 33x12.50x17LT. Other than sounding loud roaring down the road I like them, just crank up the stereo a little bit louder. I have been looking online and think that a 20'er would do me for what I want and not be to much on the truck.

Looks great, but looks like it is missing the air con and the awning. I have those new and used. I work on rv's. Let me know if you need something.

1st priority is me and whoever is riding with me, then pipedope and whoever is riding with him, then we will go from there, if there is one more spot left, will have to work it out between Dean and yourself! Just kidding! :P
