Love to watch Demo derby, but there is no way in hell I can ever do that. Glad that you can and I get to watch the fun you have. With the shape my back is in, I wouldn't make it out of the car afterwards.

HOW HARD IS IT TO FIND CARS UP IN YOUR AREA ? SINCE SCRAP PRICES HAS JUMPED UP AROUND HERE, WE CANNOT FIND ANY BIG CARS TO RUN.AT THE 4 TRACKS WE RUN AT,THEY HAD TO CHANGE THE FULLSIZE CLASS TO A V-6 FRONT WHEEL DRIVE CLASS. WHAT MOTOR DO YOU HAVE IN THE LINCOLN ? I NOTICED THE FLIPPED MANIFOLDS.

Getting hard to find them since prices are so high hell you can get almost 300.00 dollars for junk for a big one. 350 chevy 400 turbo and 9" ford 4.10 gears spool.

I USE THE SAME CHEVY 350 AND A TURBO 350 TRANS IN ALL OF CARS. I MADE SOME MOTOR MOUNTS SO I CAN USE A CHEVY MOTOR IN A FORD,DODGE.I CAN USUALLY RUN A WHOLE SEASON ON THE SAME MOTOR BEFORE A REBUILD.WITH THE SCRAP PRICES I CAN GET A CAR STRIP IT, WRECK IT THEN CRUSH IT AND IT PAYS FOR MY NIGHT OF FUN.

I went to see a derby this weekend and fell in love. Since theres no place to ride the buggy, guess i'll try crashing some cars. so I might need some help. Where do I need to start, what kind of car works best,I might need some rules first.

I had several of these types of cars that I acquired from my wrecker service that ran fine but I didn't have titles for. I tried to sell them to the Derby guys for the same thing I would get for them at the scrap yard and they wanted me to "sponser" them , A.K. give it to them. My response was no one gave me my trucks or diesel. LOL Needless to say the scrap yard got them.

If you get any pre 75 full size let me know. I may be interested in them. I'm not looking for sponsership. It probably wouldn't do you any good in northern ohio

I can't find any pics but the funest derby car I ran was a volkswagen rabbit Diesel. Split the car in half so when I hit someone the steering wheel hit the roof, when I pulled forward the brake and clutch pedal held it together ( no need for them anyway) and the steering came back down. Until my gas can dumped over and I lots fuel.

i run alot around proctorville oh and love the 73-76 impalas

Post subject:  Re: Heres one of my other hobbies

73 to 76 impalas are almost impossible to find anymore. i got to run a 76 caprice once they are tanks compared to 80's cars. most derbys around here are 80 and newer. it just to much time rather put the time in a buggy. gotta cheat to compete around here the guys that inspect dont know what they are lookin for guys winning 2 or 3 derbys with a 80s crown somethings up. you ever run carrolton, ohio thats a pretty good one.
