So I have decided that the blue truck is a little old to be depending on for long distance towing. That and being an OBD1 EFI system if it gives me a problem away from home I pretty much just have to throw parts at it until it's happy. It is going to be sidelined for now and become my future crawler project and I have upgraded to this:

1995 F-350 Horton Ambulance
100,000 Miles (Kentucky Truck)
7.3L Turbo Diesel
300 Amp Mitsubishi Alternator
5 kw Power Inverter
Front and Rear Heat and AC
Microwave
Coffee Pot
Air Compressor
Full Stack of tools
LED Lighting Inside and Out
Trailer Monitoring and Backup Cameras
Camper Awning
Hot Water Heater with 40 Gallon Reserve, Garden Hose Attachment, and Shower Fixture
1 kw mini Generator with Battery Tend Feature

Had to put some work into it. Rear End needed rebuilt (4:10 Posi), and it had a bad pump seal in the trans, but since I was in there I did pretty much every hop up you could to an E4OD. Should be able to pull a mountain now. I finally don't have to wake up at Haspin in a Floating tent in a monsoon anymore... :D Plus with this much storage I can start venturing a little further and check out some other parks eventually.

Nice truck I guess if somebody gets hurt you can give them a ride to the hospital with the lights flashing and if you paint your buggy to match you might even get away with speeding
Hope you enjoy it

The interior is all ambulance still. 10 or so more storage compartments, a bucket seat with desk area, and a bench seat with seatbelts for 4. I am working on a fold down bed that will use the bench as support. For now it is army style cots. Still beats sleeping on floor of a tent. The shower is on the tallest passenger door and you just use it outside (I call it a boxer shorts shower, but it's better than nothing at 3am). I am totally leaving it red. I thought about painting it.... Then I waxed it once and said f*#! all that. Besides the paint is still pretty nice. I took it to haspin twice last year and even with the buggy I had several state cops wave at me as I passed them and without the buggy people give me the right of way at a 4 way stop all the time. After I bought mine my buddy was so impressed he bought one to haul his dirt track car. He loves it. Now most of his family can go in one vehicle. They used to have to take 3. A rural ambulance becomes a business liability at 100,000 miles so they replace them. I guess I understand. Would you want to be in the ambulance that broke down??? If you look on eBay or CL, they almost give them away. I am still several thousand dollars or more behind the cost of a clean F350 and a used truck bed camper. Campers are wood and plastic siding and leak. Mine is tig welded aluminum. Plus a camper is nice inside. That ends up being more of a downfall than anything when you are covered in mud. Mine is all laminate and stainless inside. When I got home from last trip I parked it on a good hill and hit the inside with a pressure washer. It don't get much easier than that. ;-) We got 22" of snow in 12 hours yesterday and now it is back to -2 degrees so I will snap some more pics when the weather improves.

A school bus would be cool too but I barely can afford race fuel for my buggy and gas for my truck I'm gonna fix my t-trailor and pull it with mustang convertible it's gets over 20 mpg compared to 8-10 mpg
