This year looks like it will be more of a car year than a buggy year, but I have plans to start a "lighter and more efficient version of CX-2 shortly. Anyway... My Dad's 60th was shortly before Christmas and I wanted to do something special for him (and maybe a little bit of an early Christmas for me as well... I admit). I came across this 1967 Ranchero on Ebay. Those of you who saw my buggy build thread might remember that we have one of these in need of restoration in the "stables" already, but when I saw the pedigrees this one had I couldn't say no...

Original CA Black Plate Car (Never left CA until my Purchase)
Original 390 BB, 4 speed Car (Needs 4 speed put back but I have the correct one)
Original Disc Brake Car
Dealer Installed Under Dash AC
All Original Sheet Metal
As Optioned Marti Report says it is a 1 of 96 car
and the best part...
Car was originally ordered on the Ford X Plan by Shelby Motors of Los Angeles and was their parts delivery car from 67-69.

My dad has put in 41 years at the steel mill for me and my mom...

that is a sharp truckcar as we used to call them... Just playing on words, I called the bank and told them I wish I could just pay them a 1/10th of what I owe them. :P
