which side of the mountain is the best side to go to. Evart or harlan. we will be camping. I have a 40' fifth wheel toy hauler and was wondering where the best area would be to camp and ride.

I personally like the Putney (Harlan) side, it is right off of U.S. 119, you can ride over the mountain from Harlan to evarts in 15 mins if you have a 4-wheeler or a buggy. The campground in Harlan has a lot of room and showers as well, it is around a 10 min drive or so to Harlan to where there is a Wal-mart and pretty much all kinds of restaurants there.

Evarts side. If you have a camper. They have elec., water and Cable hook up at each camp site. and they also have a dump station. The showers are hot even after 15 people have been in there in Dec. It is a gavel lot just like any other camp ground. and the Food at the Dairy hut is great and cheap.
