Need the numbers that are stamped right below where the generator stand is bolted down.
Usually start with 1 or 2 letters on the later cases.

if not mistaken that is a 1500 cc block 1968,69.not sure but ithink thats what it is.i know its a single port block but not sure on this year.i was thinking bus but it has a dipstick tube so i dont think it is out of a bus.i think there is a link on here to engine codes somewhere,or maybe it's on the samba.hope this helps.chad

NO and NO! I've had two people tell me that this is a 1500 single port case and not a great one. so price is now dirt cheap if u need it. Thanks and sorry. Tony

i run one of these cases built to a 1641 for 5 yrs with no issues and i beat the piss out of it and it still running on my brothers buggy.
