Hello Everyone,

UPDATED FOR 2015!!!! BUGGY SHOW SPECIAL!! 5% DISCOUNT AND FREE SHIPPING IF ORDERED BEFORE MARCH 14!!

We've refined and revised our popular Ecotec 2.0 / 2.2/ 2.4 turbo kits. We see full boost at 2800 RPM [on the LE5]. Our kits use only the finest componets. We're proud to say we developed he first ever dedicated off-road turbo kit for the Ecotec 2.0 / 2.2 / and 2.4 LE5! We have developed a "Staged" System so that folks can work thier way up the system as power level transmission capacity permits! Our kits were designed with a few things in mind:

1) Reliability
2) Usability
3) Off-Road Powerband
4) Ease of install/Turn-key Setup

With that said, here is a brief explanation of the kits, power and boost level, what is included, and pricing.

AFI "Builder/DIY" Kit: $2280 + shipping

All gaskets, nuts, bolts, and hardware

This is a DIY kit. We leave the Intercooling setup, exhaust setup, fueling setup, and tuning setup to you.

The AFI STAGE I Internal WG: $3300 + shipping, Upgrade to EWG for $150

This is our Stage I turn-key 250 RWHP kit. Our STAGE I kit is based around the robust, reliable, and all-around fantastic GT28 Dual BB Turbo. It is an internal wastegate setup, you can expect a whomping ~ 230 - 250 RWHP.

The kit includes:

AFI Turbo Exhaust Manifold [2000* Ceramic Coated] Internal WG
AFI GT28 Turbo w/ [Internal WG]
AFI GT28 Exhaast V-Band Adapter

AFI -10AN Oil drain line, fittings, and adapters
AFI -6AN Water feed line, fittings, and adapters
AFI -6AN Water drain line, fittings, and adapters
AFI Water Block Off [-$100 if you already have one]
AFI 2.5" V-Band Flange & Clamp Set

All gaskets, nuts, bolts, and hardware

The Stage I kit is good for anyone running a bus transmission [built 3 rib transmission or a 5 or 6 rib [not built] transmission. Recommended upgrades include a Stage II clutch & pressure plate. This kit can be ran with any year 2006-2010 Ecotec 2.4 LE5. The Stage I is built for internal WG, but can be upgraded to external WG.

AFI STAGE II Kit: $3650 + shipping

This is the kit our Ecotec turbo development program is based around. Instant throttle response, instant torque, and small block power. Boost is set via a Tial external wastegate setup you can expect a whomping ~ 280 - 320 RWHP. The Stage II is for folks ready to stomp challengers with a monster flat torque band and instantaneous spool/boost.

The kit includes:

AFI Turbo Exhaust Manifold [2000* Ceramic Coated] External WG
AFI GT28 Turbo w/ V-Band Exhaust
AFI Tial or Turbosmart External Wastegate w/ external dump tube
AFI -3AN Oil feed line, fittings, and adapters
AFI -10AN Oil drain line, fittings, and adapters
AFI -6AN Water feed line, fittings, and adapters
AFI -6AN Water drain line, fittings, and adapters
AFI Water Block Off [-$100 if you already have one]
AFI 2.5" V-Band Flange & Clamp Set
Siemens 60# EV6 Injectors [Capable to 400 RWHP]
GM 2 BAR MAP Sensor
AFI STAGE II ECM TURBO TUNE
AFI A2A Top Mount IC w/ Ecotec Mount
AFI Intercooler piping, silicone hoses, & T-bolt clamps
AFI Throttle Body Transition Hose
TIAL 50mm Q BOV
AFI Hi-Flow Turbo Air Filter & Hoses
All gaskets, nuts, bolts, and hardware

This is a power level that will dominate at hill climbs, the dunes, or the drags. Half the weight of a LS setup, and half the cost. The Stage II kit is best with folks running built 5 rib [becareful] and 6 rib transmissions. I wouldn't push more than 300 RWHP through either of them and you would need to watch the way you drive. The Stage II kit can be ran with any year 2006-2010 Ecotec 2.4 LE5, but AFI prefers and suggests the early models [2006-2007] with forged internals for longevity.

Here are some photos of the AFI turbo setups.

It's hard to describe the power! Instant torque. Check out this VIDEO that shows some real-time Research & Development we did to make sure our systems performed exceptionally! This is some 'sand tuning' we did to make rectify our wideband and commanded AFR's.

We also can develop a complete turn-key engine/turbo package if this interests you. See our website for details. We accept CC and Paypal - our Paypal is sales@alphafabindustries.com

Please call 734.794.3082 or email sales@alphafabindustries.com for questions or concerns!

Thanks for looking,

Alpha Fab

Can you get me a stage II 2.4 with a FWD Auto-trans harnessed as well? No mounting plate.

You could get away with a Stage I on the 2.2... It would be tuned very very safe though.

We'll see. Few questions when you get a chance about what you used as a block off for the power steering pump. And if and how much to make a dash similar to the one you made for your buggy.

It will have gear reduction. I don't want to shift every 5 feet.

I'm not sure I follow on the power steering pump block-off? I hadn't thought about selling the dashes.. Mostly because of the frame differences out there! It would be difficult to build a dash like this as a univeral kit. Do you have a Stalker frame?

05/ 06 Cobalts have blanking plates where the Cavalier power steering pump went.

And no my frame is believed to be an old high jumper. I'm not referring to something that's custom to my specific vehicle per say. Just something that would be similar to your cluster setup just below your windshield. Reason being, only things you can buy are max 2 gauge opens with a few switch holes. I'd just be interested in something I can put all my gauges in that they aren't all over the place. As it sits right now I'm going to have to have gauges up top and also down on the floor in front of the shifter.
