For what you have invested in those carbs $400.00 is a steal! New real Webers like these are in the $800.00 range with out the jet doctors, tall filters and offroad up grade kit you have.

Just because YOU can't doesn't mean someone else can't. If I didn't know better it sounds like your trying to blow up this guy's sale.

Bill if I didn't have two sets I would buy them. That's a good deal.

The jet doctors are just small brass tubes that raise the air intake for the idle jets. So if you get dirt in the carb it won't plug the idle jets. You don't need them if you have a good sealed air cleaner.

You are right... I'm wrong.. I bought some dual frozen busted Dellorto's a few years back on ebay. They must have froze on the UPS truck.lol. And I have a pair of new 44 Webers that we can NOT get right. They are not 4 sale. They will go on a shelf in the barn where they can NOT piss anyone else off. Great carb wizards have thrown in the towel on these. I am not trying impede his sale but I will tell what I've experienced. That is what this site is all about is to trade our experiences and look out for a brother. They can be sold on Ebay. But still... I don't have the heart to do that. I hope and believe his carbs are good!

Bill's Carbs worked just fine when he decided to replace the VW motor with the Subi motor.
