Need a nice set of performance dual port heads for new stroker motor, Getting ready to order a new set from CB but thought I'd see what kind of used sets were out there first. Also looking for a nice winter ride (BAJA BUG) with, or without engine, if anyone has a good deal. Preferably mid TN or N. AL area, but will make road trip for right car. Whatcha got :?:

It's a project but, it's solid.$800. I'm in London Ky. 29 miles north of Tn. border. on I 75. Good title in my name, numbers match.

be leary of buying used heads unless you know what to check for.. if funds allow, a new set of CB heads are hard to beat for the price 8)

Thanks for the baja pics but not really what I'm looking for. If I had a solid early body swing axle car like yours I'd probably try to put the rear clip back on it and make a full body street ride. Hate seeing the early cars cut up if they are in good shape. I'm looking for something IRS so I can install a bus trans and T-arms, if it doesn't already have them . Might check with you later to see if you still have it, but right now I want to find a baja thats ready to go, or pretty close to it. Not worried about engine, I'll take one with or without. Thanks

V-tech, You might want to take a second look at the $800 Baja. Yes it is a swing axle car, it can be converted with weld on pockets or if you are going to used dual pivot which I recommend as the tire does't travel in and arc. And this car is most likely a king and link car. Plus $800 is dirt cheap.

Just my opinion. I also believe the man has an interior for that car as well. Finding a solid car is getting harder and harder to do especially when the numbers of the pan and body match.

Red Baron, not saying it's not worth it, just that it's not what I'm looking for. :) Like the post says "looking for nice baja". Now if he was a little closer I'd check it out for a street ride, and if I happen to be up that way on other business I'll see if it's still available. After all, pre 67's are what most people dig when they want to play on pavement. And, since it hasn't been hacked in the front it's still saveable. It appears to still be fairly straight so I'd graft the rear from a donor car, throw on a set of EMPI 5 spokes, and have a cool little rat. Heck, if it's real straight and super rust free I might even trick it out nice.
What I'm interested in for my baja is something that's already set up with most of the stuff I want, like 3x3's, bus trans, disc, cut brake, fiberglass kit, f.bumper, r.cage, and maybe roll bar, seats and gauges inside. You get the picture, a nice baja. I've got over 20 bugs sitting around the shop and I've built more bajas than I care to remember, I just don't have time to build one from scratch right now. Too many obligations at the moment. I have a couple of nice engines and I'd like to throw one in a baja that's pretty well set up, just got to find the right one.
STILL LOOKING FOR A NICE SET OF HEADS too (performance, big valve, T-1). Not looking for stock castings with big valves, got plenty of those, I need some that will flow enough for a 2332 Guess I'll wind up buying a new set since I'm not getting any leads but I'll give it a little while longer, just in case. Got a lot of stuff to trade too, if someone has something they need and would like to swap for heads

PM sent - you didn't say if it was heads or a baja but I'll bite, what ya got :?: I bought a baja that's got most of what I wanted but still needs more time spent on it than I have time for at the moment. It has most of the goodies but it needs paint & fglass work, ball joints, a little wiring work, and the bus trans conversion. I'm still interested in a baja body that's pretty much good to go, or, one that needs very little.
