It's still the UN5 transaxle we've been running before, but it's been moved 3 inches forward so the nosecone nestles between the rear torsion housings, and the bellhousing has been shortened by 1.25" to get the engine even further forward and reduce the rear overhang.

Motor is being swapped for an S2000 with a honking great supercharger. Should be around 400bhp area,

Bit of tidying work plus the old engine cage offered up to show just how much the engine has moved!

Okay, got on with positioning the rest of the exhaust system today, made the last merge collector up, mocked the old rear cage up and sat the Mahooosive silencer down the side, sat the supercharger in after chopping some excess lugs off it (weight saving and all that shiz), then realised there was no way in f@#k was the big assed 165 amp alternator going to go near the stock location as we originally thought....

So, looks like it's sitting at the side of the supercharger snout driving off a small belt and pulley bolted to the supercharger pulley.....I don't like it, but there's plenty of wraparound on that 5" pulley so it may be okay.

And after having the old cage on and taking some measurements, a couple of quick outline sketches to see how the new rear end/bonnet will end up:

Old bonnet/scoop/air feed:

Roughly where the new one will end up:

Plus extra's.... :D

You need to get that thing on the Real UK version of Top Gear. I can see Jeremy (the host) screaming in the passenger seat.

Nice Job Phillip

Richard has actually seen it 'cause he went to some of the races that our 4wd buggies compete in, he was fairly interested but it was broken at the time

I just enjoy watching you crazy Brits on TV. The US has a copycat version of Top Gear but it sucks!

If you didn't have the UK one to compare it too it would seem better!

Some progress, secondaries mocked up, right length, but needs a couple of tweaks to the shape before welding to smooth the flow a little:

Side profile of engine/cage now, that's the old engine rear protection cage for mockup there, you can see how much longer the old setup used to be. The top bar used to be horizontal too, so you can also see how much ground clearance we've gained!

And some of the mountings and plumbing done. Yes, that alternator IS going to be a bitch to drive.
I know the air feed into the plenum and out of the charger need a bit of work but it's a case of make something easy that works at the moment and improve it later since they're just bolt-on flanges :)

Could you flip the outlet on the super charger around and then mount the intercooler on the back rail? That way it would need a much shorter set of tubes to get it from point A to B. I would think that intercooler would be okay back there even though it may not see as much airflow. Maybe put a small scoop further back or a small fan. The 90's on the tubing are what kills flow. Looks great though.
