that sucks, my last motor did about the same thing, rod nut screwed off then it bent up like that and broke cam and everytihng else. make sure you buy h beams with the arp bolts next time, worth the extra money for sure. good luck getting a new one together! |

Were you using a dry sump system or stock oil pick up? I'm just going to use the stock pick up system my self but, I think I'll go back and loctite the nut holding the pick up tube in side the bottom of the sump. |

Looks like a rod bearing failure took out the rod which took out the cam. Seen that before.......... Shuffle pinned case too, what a shame. Your box of frame parts is on the way too Brandon. Thanks |

well i hate to see its that bad but you give it hell,had one of the best wheelie's of the day in the event.did a great job for a 4-seater and no tree bars glad i finally met you in person now get it fixed and bring it to wellsville memorial day.chad

My motor did the exact same thing, but I got lucky and it did it while at an idle. I had an engle 110 cam. One of the bolts that came with the cam failed. The head of the bolt sheared of flush with the cam gear. The head of the bolt got between the gears and broke the cam and blew a hole through the oil pump.

it was a engle 110 cam but i think turboblue is write about the rod failing first. dark side here i come lol picking up a 2.2 suby
