Hey, my name's Joe, I'm from Augusta GA. Found your site a few days ago and have been checking it out.

There are a few of us here with sandrails and we are always looking for some places to ride and people to ride with. We are street legal, but prefer trail riding.

I see that railridernky has been to Tail of the Dragon. Me and my brother are heading up to Gatlinburg with the rails the second weekend in September if y'all would like to meet up with us.

GAMNTRAIL, we ride up to Helen 2 or 3 times a year and are always looking for good places/trails to ride. If you'd like to meet up for a ride that would be cool.

Here's a couple pics of my rail (yellow) and my brother's (the red one).

Welcome There is a place in Blairsville Ga (close to Helen) to ride called Beasleys Knob, not a big place and not any big hills to play on but it is a OK place to ride.

Here is the original photo of my avatar. The friend that took it is 6'2" and he estimated I got about 7 feet up.

My wife won't ride with me, but my 16 year old daughter loves it!

I love this kind of stuff!

I'd like to go but we are going to Gatlinburg on the 8th for a week and don't want to break anything before we head up there.

Joe,
When your interested in riding around Helen let me know, I know Bruce 1 said "beasley knob " is not that big, personally I really like it ,but I have not had an opportunity to check out any other places. I just came back from the KNOB and the last time I was there was 2 years ago. The TRUCKS have had alot of time to tear it up it was a WHOLE LOT ROUGHER than it used to be. There are only 11 miles of trails but they are good ones. There is a "Hill Climb " that the trail out of it has grown up, obliviously because nobody is making it all the way. Email me when your ready I would love to ride with you batvette68@yahoo.com

Just hollar at me when your ready, I'm going to be taking the next couple of weekends to do some more work to mine but I'll be ready after that. Those are some good looking buggies you & your brother have. Beasley Knob is the only state run ORV area in georgia where Buggies can ride, I have met the U.S Forest Ranger that runs it & she is super nice & seems to stand behind the dune buggies 100%, She said the buggies don't tear the trails up the giant trucks do. So hopefully this area will stay open for quite awhile.
What we should do is get a group of people together & approach the state about opening other ORV trails to something besides ATV's. Nothing againsts ATV'S or 4x4's but we should ALL be able to ride in a state run ORV AREA. just my 2 cents worth.

Thanks Bruce
Me and big bro have built 5 of them. I have to put a torsion bar in mine this weekend. I'm with you on getting more trails for buggies. There is still one place about a hour from here but the man that owns it will only let us ride after 4:30 after the atv's and bikes come off the trails.
