It will never be like it was when you could cut a new hill , spend all day drag racing in the field or haggin' out at the gator pit which is fenced off now but they have got a lot better as long as you dont mud ride in the fields at camp and stay out of the creeks and the river I havent seen them ck coolers this year and there was a lot of buggys there back during Memorial Day the most I have seen in a long time . There are still plenty of good trails and hills to play on but like i said it will never be like the old turkey bay It is gone forever .... but what they offer is way better than closing it down.
Odynuck all those tires in the pictures except on my buggy are bias ply Q (36in) buckshot mudders and a lot of guys run R (38 in) buck shot mudders they bite very good I had a set of Q's on my old buggy and loved them . The tires I have in these pics now are 35x15.50x15 ( which on 12inch wheel are only 33in tall )super swamper tsl sx radials that I cut in between the main lugs instead of cutting every other main lug pattern off and cut thru every large end lug so they would flex better I run 4 psi in them and they do good but I would not say they are better than a set of cut boggers by any means but I bought 4 with 98 % tread on them for a $150 less than 2 new Boggers so I had to try them I think I am going to shave the sidewalls down on the other set When I cut them.

Thanks for the Info. I am in the market for different tires and have not decided on what to run yet. I need to be larger in diameter than a 31" "V" thread to give me additional wheelspeed and ground clearence. I am looking at 33" Boggers however I am concerned that like yours they will be only 31" on my 12" wide rims. May have to go to a set of 35s. How wide are the 36" Buckshots? Do they do as well or better than the standard Bogger?

$15 for 1-3 day permit $30 for 7 days permit $60 for a year permit $8 a night to camp No electrical or water hook ups are available

how strict were they??????????? ive heard they are slacking off a bit like it used to be when it was fun to go to lbl, some of the best riding up there ive ever been to. 05 was the last year i went and they had gotten pretty ridiculous as in they had filled in the gator pit, said no drag racing anywhere, a lot of areas fenced off for "wildlife preserves", checking coolers, and even said if there was a mud hole on the trail, to go around if there was a way around it, but if not go through the mud hole and dont make a new trail around it or anywhere else for that matter.

The bias ply buck shots are very hard to find and will never mount on your wheels they are a narrow tire and only come in 1 width . They work best on a 8" wheel but can be run on a 10 " . I have never ran a set of boggers so I cant really say if they are better .The guys down here prefer the boggers and the Super swamper Irocks .

Thanks. I guess that settles that on the Buckshots. It sounds like the going tire is the Bias ply however I found a link for a set of 4 used 36" Radial Buckshots if you or any of your buddies are Interested. They are $400.00 for the set http://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/1239103039.html

We use to run paddla trak paddle tires and cut boggers,both worked real well in the loose rock they have down there!We used to go there before it got strict and it was a blast night ridin all night,goin down to the mud pits watchin all the idiots stuck,alot of hillclimbin goin on around every turn!You right it will never be like that again but atleast its still open,thats the main reason I sold my buggy and got into trucks. aaron
