This place is at the head of Dog Holler. We go in where the old Whitten Grocery store used to be.

Why is the right part of my pictures cut off? When I post them in the Forum.

Thanks Aaron,

WV has some very beautiful mountains.
The reclaimed property at the strip mines makes a great playground for off road vehicles. We do mostly trail riding but there are some very challenging hill climbs there. There is also some deep mud holes if any one likes mud. On one trip last summer we went 74 miles thru the trails. We never came close to being on all of the trails. There is also 2 small stores near the trails where you can get gas or snacks.

As for the trailer. A friend made it for me. It works out great.

West Virginia has some very beautiful landscaping, I ride 4-wheelers there alot in Southern WV, give me a shout next time you guys go on a good ride like this, I would love to check it out, it would be about 2.5 hour ride there for me, I live about 2 hours from Charleston, I think it will be well worth it. I also heard that most of the property is owned by the N&S railroad and the law in WV says that if they don't put a gate up or post a sign, you are allowed in there.

chad you would be mistaken, now you do not have to post it or gate it,if you don't have written permission by the land owner on you or your not the one who pays taxes on it,then there for your trespassing.i don't know who told you that but they are wrong.here where we ride it is all mainly owned by arch land co.about everything is owned by some sort of land co.little horse creek land, little coal land or mohler land co.they have leased it to the coal mines and or hatfeild and mccoy trails, but there is a lot of it that is not active and that is where we ride.it's one of those deals where as long as nobody get out around the active mine site or starts destroying there stuff then they don't say anything.if you get hurt then you can't sue because your trespassing,as to them giving permission and then being liable for your protection.but for sure i would like to see you come up and ride with us.chad

i plan on going to all the event's on here, weekend of 20th at wind rock with willie,4th at d&k then i go to the beach, but anytime other then that if you ever want to ride just come on i ride every weekend.right now i'm trying to find a safe place where everybody can get their hualers in and still be in a good leave and ride spot then i want to have everybody come and ride with me on a buggy poker run ride.we can do like a 50 mile or so loop and have like seven or even more little play areas where we can all head up and climb some and get to bullshit, get a card and then move on and so on get seven cards make the best 5 out of seven and win something.then have a night party pig roast then do some night playing on some stuff or something whatever you all want.it will be a blast.hope that it becomes a anual event that everyone will enjoy.chad

The new Whitten's grocery store is just across the Road. The Cement pad is still there where the old store used to be.
