I've seen that one in person. He came to our 4x4 club's hillclimb last year. IIRC he's from the Chattanooga, TN area.

He uses a power glide 2-speed transmission with reverse and a parking gear, I read about it and seen the drivetrain pictures in a 4x4 magazine. He uses a atlas II x-fer case and a set of Dana 60's axles.

It's now turbocharged with 15 lbs. of boost, hopefully he won't blow the heads off.

I thought at first it was a newer water-cooled VW at first from the sound till i saw the pictures. That's a bunch of boost for a VW. lol. Hopefully it'll stay together.
