No one wanted to ride with me Saturday. I took the camera and went by myself. I ran about two hours highway and four offroad.

There we no Bajas or rails to be found in the five off road sites I traveled.

You get this way and I'll take you for a ride. Better still bring your rail.

48 hours or less. One trailer two rails and two drivers. Drive four hours sleep 4 hours. Stop only every 4 hours. You woun't even be tired when you get here.

Rob would be coming, if this happened. Ugh I'm not sure I know anyone with a trailer that will hold two rails. Also about eight hundred bucks or more in diesel.

Thanks for the videos. I've been to Az two times so I know how great the offroading could be. My nephew and I only had a rental PT Cruiser to go into the mountains. Thanks again.

We are lucky in AZ there is much more public land than private. Massive travel and ground clearance and 44s would be nice. Do any of you travel long distances at a time (100-300 mile round trips) with the chain drive system. While stout my rail is pretty tame compared to chain drive rails. I will round up some pictures from the the beginning to the present and make a project post.

I should of asked the main question how often do the sprockets and chains require changing. I would stay VW powered in the 130-180 hp and 160 ft lbs torque.
