i got 1 of them on but on the driver side i cant get that bolt in the front of the arm to slid out it is rusted to the metal sleeve in the bushing i think any ideay on what to do to get it out of there

I`ve had to cut them with a torch to get them out of the sleeve,You can buy new bolts for it pretty cheap,just a suggestion. aaron |

yea i think i have another bolt i was thinking of cutting it just checking to see if i missed a way to remove it if this happens but i guess i will just cut it i know i have 7 hours in to trying to get it out |

did you get it loose or unthreaded if so barrow or buy a dent snatcher from habor fraight weld it to the bolt head hit it 1 or 2 times pretty hard it should come loose |

I had the same problem before. I used a sawzall to cut the pivot bolt. |

I too had a similar problem just the other day. My son welded a piece of rebar to it and made a makeshift "dent puller" and snatched it out..And when you go back together with it both of those big washers go on the outside

well now there is a new problem i got the old arm off but what happend is the bolt broke off where it is threaded in so there is still some of the bolt in the hole it threads into and u cant fit a drill in there so any ideas on what to do |

donie but i dont know his last name i went threw a guy i ride with but i believe this is who made them only $200 and 2 old arms. but the bolt broke off flush with the edge and is good and rusted in there so i dont think it is going to turn i will try the heat tomorrow |

I had the same problem.what did is to make a 1 1/4x1 1/4x5/8 square nut tap it 7/8x14 cut out the broken bolt and the little nub that the arm sits on center nut in the square hole and weld in then use a 7/8 bolt. won't brake that bolt.good luck you can put the nut on the nub and trace it with a scribe and be realy accurate.hope this helps.ti took me almost as long to tipe this as to do the repare. |
