A shop of that size would benifit from radiant floor heat , but since floor is already done you could put radiant tube heater on the ceiling. Those heaters run on propane or gas and work real well, even when door is open it still feels worm.

You will be money ahead to get it insulated! This is what I use to heat my 30x40 shop and it works great runs on propane and is vent free I have insulated the shit out of it and it will keep it 70 in there even when its 0 outside,I have been looking into wood stoves and the pipe to vent a woodburner is pretty pricy but would be worth it in the long run if you can get your own wood cheap or for free.Check ebay thats where I have been looking theres alot on there just hard to find on close enough to buy.
