I figured I'd let you guys know that I groove tires, I just do them whenever I get time....my work has been keeping me very busy lately, lots of OT.....lol

Did a good job do use the groover and a grinder to get them that smooth?

I use a van alstine Grover with 3/4" and 1" blades and then uses wire wheel for a grinder to smooth it out......

They look good Chad.I have that same groover and I love it.talked to the guy that makes them and he's making a new head for it so you can get in closer to the lug without running the blade out so far.I sent a bunch of pics to him awhile back.this should help save on some blades and make it easier.Chad :mrgreen:

I cut the head down to 13/4 wide and get the HD blades.

I have been using the HD blade, I will look into on modifying the head like you said Hyde, thanks for the tip
