This one is street legal and very off-road capable. I am trying to get the best of both worlds here but tires are always a compromise for street and trail.

Thanks! Still trying to come up with a good heater setup. Electric heaters aren't good enough.

I used to have a baja and had the same problem. I took an external oil cooler with a fan and installed it in the car. It worked great and in the summer time I mounted it outside. Just an idea.

:?: wouldn't long oil hoses rob press or volume? If you are wearing a warm monkey suit do you really think you will feel any benefit.Get a small green propane bottle at walmart with a small burner attached. I had one in my old type 3 baja. If you drop it it is designed to break for safety purposes or go out if it is turned over. It's made for tents.Secure it in the passenger floor board in an old milk crate.Turn it off while driving, I don't know.Crack your window for air.

I thought about the drop in oil pressure too. I would mount it on th rear fire wall. guessing about 24 in. of oil hose in total but still have some reservations. I am running a heavy duty oil pump and when engine is warm i get 60 psi according to my gauge. Also this is the last vw engine I will ever build. They are getting way too expensive to build these days. After this it's going to be ecotech or subaru!
