Awesome pics!! I been there 3 or 4 times but have never seen the hillside with the trails running around on it. Or I just dont recognize it. Looks like one of the hillsides where they reclaimed n planted grass, on the way up that main trail to the helicopter pad, or Lookout some call it. But they told us to stay off them places. Apparently the spot in your pic has been beat on pretty regularly, tho. |

Nice pictures, the area is called the stadium and it is an awesome spot to play on and the trail that goes beyond the helicopter landing pad on the end of trail 10 just past Whitetail camp has an awesome spot called the bald knob and it will let you see almost 360 degrees all around you of the mountains, awesome views. Larry, I dunno who told you that, but me and the guys that rode 4-wheelers down there the first time I went down there showed us the way around almost like a tour and they did a great job and they were locals called the Ridge Runners and they took us to the bald knob. |

That playground area is known as "The Stadium". It was a fun trip. Trails were clearly marked, camping was good and being able to ride the buggy in town was cool. |

The bald knob is same as helicoptor pad or lookout. I did not maen they told us to stay off the baldknob or the trail toit, I meant they told us to stay off the grassy banks on the high side of that trail. |

When we went down there, it was actually a park cop on a quad that told us. |
